ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Manager, Reporting and Analytics will lead the organization's reporting function and help establish the foundation for a broader analytics capability. This is a hands-on management role accountable for reporting delivery,
quality, governance, standards, and continuous improvement across onshore and offshore resources. This role will have formal people-management responsibility for the onshore Report Developers, including hiring, performance management, development, and related HR responsibilities, while also providing day-to-day direction and oversight for offshore reporting resources. The Senior Manager will be expected to gain a strong understanding of the business processes and operational needs, along with a high-level understanding of reporting logic, source data, requirements, calculations, dependencies, testing, and production issues. This individual should be able to provide effective oversight and direction while relying on the team to manage detailed technical analysis and execution, while ensuring business continuity. This role will partner closely with business units such as Billing, Clinical Operations, Finance, Accounting, Security & Compliance, and other organizational stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into well-governed reporting and analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Lead day-to-day Reporting and Analytics activities across onshore and offshore resources, establishing clear
priorities, delivery expectations, standards, ownership, and accountability for the team.
• Manage onshore Report Developers from an HR perspective, including recruiting, onboarding, goal setting,
coaching, performance reviews, development planning, and other people-management responsibilities.
• Stay actively engaged in complex or high-impact reporting work by understanding key logic, data sources,
requirements, testing, and production issues, while providing direction and oversight to the team.
• Manage and continuously improve the end-to-end reporting lifecycle, including intake, requirements, design,
development, testing, business validation, approval, deployment, support, change, and retirement.
• Establish and consistently apply best practices so business requirements, report specifications, assumptions,
calculations, acceptance criteria, approvals, and changes are clearly documented and traceable.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive reporting inventory or catalog that identifies report purpose, business
owner, audience, source systems, key definitions, dependencies, refresh schedules, support ownership, and
lifecycle status.
• Drive consistency and integrity across reporting by promoting standardized business definitions, calculations,
KPIs, and reusable logic, and by identifying and resolving conflicting or duplicative reports and metrics.
• Establish and enforce appropriate change-control, version-control, testing, approval, deployment, rollback, and
release-documentation practices for reporting solutions.
• Define and promote development, documentation, peer-review, validation, security, performance, and support
standards that improve reporting quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• Manage reporting demand, backlog, resource capacity, work assignments, dependencies, delivery risks, and
commitments across onshore and offshore resources, escalating concerns when appropriate.
• Engage directly with business stakeholders to understand operational processes and reporting needs, facilitate
requirements gathering, challenge unclear or inconsistent requirements, and translate needs into practical and
sustainable solutions.
• Lead response to production reporting issues, including impact assessment, troubleshooting, stakeholder
communication, root-cause analysis, remediation, and prevention of recurring problems.
• Promote knowledge sharing and reduce dependency on individual subject-matter experts through
documentation, cross-training, reusable solutions, and disciplined ownership of business and technical
knowledge.
• Help build the organization's analytics capability over time by identifying skill needs, hiring or developing
analytics talent, and introducing appropriate analytical methods, tools, and practices based on business
priorities.
• Represent Reporting and Analytics in planning, governance, vendor, project, and stakeholder discussions, and
identify opportunities to improve reporting effectiveness, automation, and decision support
