Role Overview

Senior Director of Marketing to lead strategic marketing initiatives across a high-growth, multi-subsidiary healthcare company focused on outsourced Operating Room services. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this leader will be responsible for driving channel-specific marketing efforts, brand positioning, and sales enablement strategies that accelerate revenue and enhance market presence.

This role blends strategic planning with hands-on timely execution, equipping Business Development with the tools, content, campaigns, and automation necessary to convert prospects into clients. Plays a pivotal role in driving both internal and external brand engagement by aligning marketing efforts with business priorities.

A strong focus is placed on proactively building relationships with Business Development, Operations, and HR teams to deeply understand business needs and deliver targeted, effective marketing support. Additionally, this leader partners closely with Internal Communications to ensure messaging is consistent with the brand, reinforces company culture, and supports the broader marketing strategy across all employee touchpoints.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

 

Strategic & Channel Marketing (30%)

· Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that support enterprise and subsidiary growth goals.

· Lead targeted channel marketing programs aimed at healthcare decision-makers including surgeons, hospital executives, OR administrators and large group practices.

· Translate strategic plans into actionable programs—lead generation, lead nurturing, and campaign execution.

· Collaborate with Business Development to support RFPs, pitch decks, battlecards, and other sales enablement materials.

· Manage and optimize marketing automation workflows and campaigns through HubSpot or similar platforms.

 

Trade Shows & Events (15%)

  Own the annual strategy and execution of industry conferences (e.g., Becker’s Spine, ASET, NASS, APA).

· Align with Business Development and Clinical Operations to define event goals, targets, and success measures and engage in the event.

· Manage all event logistics, including registration, booth design, staffing, travel, and budgets.

· Lead on-site execution and post-event ROI reporting with clear KPIs tied to leads and pipeline impact.

 

Brand, Messaging & Content Strategy (15%)

· Steward the corporate brand and ensure subsidiary positioning is consistent, differentiated, and relevant.

· Drive creation of thought leadership, case studies, webinars, and sales collateral that align with customer needs.

· Translate complex clinical and operational solutions into clear, value-driven messaging.

 

Internal Communications & Culture Alignment (10%)

· Partner with internal communications to align messaging with brand voice, strategic priorities, and change initiatives.

· Support CEO and leadership team in delivering impactful internal messaging that reinforces culture, values, and wins.

 

Market Research & Competitive Intelligence (10%)

· Conduct ongoing market and competitor analysis to inform positioning, targeting, and go-to-market strategies.

· Use research to refine messaging, identify whitespace opportunities, and support business case development.

 

Performance Measurement & Reporting (10%)

· Define KPIs across campaigns, events, and lead generation activities.

· Maintain dashboards and reporting tools that communicate marketing impact to executive leadership.

· Use analytics to continuously optimize programs and resource allocation.

 

Vendor Relationship Management (10%)

· Lead strategic vendor relationships to ensure alignment with marketing goals, overseeing contract negotiations, performance tracking, and budget adherence across all external partners (e.g., agencies, media buyers, creative vendors).

· Establish performance metrics and SLAs for marketing vendors and agencies, regularly reviewing outcomes to optimize ROI and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.

Qualifications

  10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, preferably in healthcare services, SaaS, or complex B2B sectors.

· Demonstrated success in channel marketing, event execution, CRM-driven campaigns, and brand management.

· Experience aligning internal communications with strategic marketing and organizational goals.

· Proficiency in marketing automation and CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred).

· Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field; MBA a plus.

 

 

 

Physical and Mental Demands

This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The position may also entail light lifting of supplies and materials occasionally, up to and including 20 pounds in addition to reaching, stooping, standing, and walking.
