Overview

MPOWERHealth is seeking a Principal of Organizational Communication to join our team. This individual will lead the design and delivery of clear, compelling internal communications and support brand-aligned messaging that connects our people, culture, and mission. This role combines strategic insight with hands-on execution: the Principal will proactively craft messages, develop communication frameworks, and partner with leaders across the organization to ensure clarity, alignment, and engagement. Example communications include leadership memos, organizational updates, employee survey launches, integration announcements, and other priority messaging that impacts culture, engagement, and transparency.

Responsibilities

Organizational Communication

  • Develop and execute a clear, proactive communication strategy that supports transparency, culture, and alignment across MPOWERHealth.
  • Create, edit, and deliver high-quality communications on behalf of executive leaders, including updates, change management, integration news, and other critical announcements.
  • Act as a trusted partner for crisis communication planning and delivery.
  • Establish clear processes for departments to request and share communications efficiently.
  • Ensure consistent tone, style, and voice in all internal messaging, aligned with the MPOWERHealth brand.
  • Lead internal communication deliverables, such as intranet content, internal newsletters, leadership updates, and employee engagement campaigns.
  • Help ensure internal audiences understand key brand initiatives, changes, and priorities.
  • Apply a working knowledge of branding to reinforce MPOWERHealth’s culture and identity in all internal channels.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with leaders across HR, Clinical Operations, Finance, IT, Marketing, and other departments to gather information, draft messaging, and deliver timely communications.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for communication best practices, guiding stakeholders on how to communicate effectively with employees.
  • Coordinate with external partners or vendors when needed for design, branding, or technical support.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Proactively build trust with leaders and employees as a clear, credible communicator.
  • Support communication efforts for major initiatives, employee engagement surveys, culture-building activities, and organizational updates.
  • Monitor feedback and engagement metrics to continuously improve communication impact.
  • Monitor public perception and develop strategies to protect and strengthen organizational reputation.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Five to eight years of progressive experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or marketing communications, ideally within healthcare or a complex, multi-site organization.
  • Proven ability to develop, write, and deliver clear, engaging, and timely communications for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with branding principles and the ability to align internal messaging with external brand standards.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with senior leaders, HR, and operations teams.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive, self-starter mindset.
  • Comfortable working as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with common digital communication tools (such as intranet platforms, email tools, and content management systems).
  • Ability to work in a hybrid schedule (approximately three days per week onsite).

Physical and Mental Demands

This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The position may also entail light lifting of supplies and materials occasionally, up to and including 20 pounds in addition to reaching, stooping, standing, and walking. This position requires the ability to talk, hear, compare, compute, compile, copy, analyze, coordinate, synthesize, negotiate and communicate. Work Environment

Standard office working environment that may be busy and noisy at times. This is a Hybrid role in Addison, TX.
