The seasoned professional for this job needs superior communication and computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Books, coordinates, and reschedules patient appointments as needed.  
  • Updates and maintains daily schedules for field technicians.  
  • Ensures that all cases are covered.  
  • Maintains and updates current information on schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly.  
  • Actively communicates with field personnel and management as needed. 
  • Obtains and enters new patient demographics and insurance; updates patient information, as necessary to maintain accuracy for billing. 
  • Reviews all forms for accuracy and completion according to office policies prior to finalizing any case. 
  • May assist with filing charts, demographic forms, HIPAA Acknowledgement forms, etc. 
  • Assists with answering the phone and transferring to appropriate staff. 
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience 

  • High School degree or equivalent 
  • At least 6 months experience in a general office environment 
  • Minimum 1 year work experience in customer service 

 

Skills/Specialized Knowledge 

 

  • Experience with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, & Outlook 
  • Medical terminology helpful. 

 

Other Requirements 

 

  • Must maintain professional appearance 
  • Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis
