Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

๐Ÿ”น Master Surgical Support


โœ” Serve as a trusted first assist during spine, orthopedic and robotic surgeries
โœ” Anticipate surgeon needs, maintain a sterile field, and optimize patient positioning.
โœ” Work seamlessly with the OR team to ensure precision, efficiency, and exceptional patient outcomes.

 

๐Ÿ”น Own the Pre- and Post-Op Experience


โœ” Connect with patients before surgery, ensuring they feel informed and at ease.
โœ” Confirm cases, manage essential documentation, and facilitate smooth patient transfers.
โœ” Provide detailed handovers to PACU staff to maintain continuity of care.

๐Ÿ”น Grow, Innovate, and Lead
โœ” Engage in clinical and operational improvement projects, including training and process enhancements.
โœ” Expand your expertise by learning new surgical specialties and staying ahead in the ever-evolving world of surgery.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring to the OR

๐Ÿ”น Experience & Expertise


โœ” At least 2 years of surgical assisting experience in spine, orthopedics, and robotics.
โœ” One of the following credentials: RNFA, PA-C, NP, or LSA.

 

๐Ÿ”น Education & Training


โœ” Graduate of an Accredited Master’s or Doctoral Degree Program:
    • Physician Assistants – Master’s in PA Studies & NCCPA Certification.
    • Nurse Practitioners – Master’s/Doctoral in NP Studies + CNOR or RNFA.
โœ” Proficiency in EMR systems and MS Office—because efficiency matters in and out of the OR.
โœ” Current state license where practicing.

 

๐Ÿ”น Physical Requirements


โœ” Able to perform essential duties with or without accommodations, including:
    • Lifting, standing, squatting, bending, and kneeling during procedures.
    • Frequent lifting (20+ lbs.), constant seeing, hearing, and speaking in a fast-paced OR setting.
