Responsibilities

Job Summary

 

The treasury analyst will be reporting to VP of Controller and will be responsible for daily treasury operations, accurate cash reporting and assists with bank structure management. Will be responsible for producing reports to aid in the forecasting of cash needs for the business and assists with other treasury functions. Manage and analyze organization’s financial activity. This individual should possess a high degree of professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ideally a medical accounting background.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

 

· Monitor and analyze the company’s daily cash position to cover cash commitments and coordinate/optimize the short-term borrowing or investments, or assist in the execution of the daily cash management duties

· Manage cash flow, income, liability obligations and assets

· Administer the ACH program

· Adhere to month-end cut-off schedules by cash department personnel for reconciliations of all cash-related accounts, all month-end processes, and all related journal entries

· Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on cash position

· Assist with short- and long-term intercompany settlements and transactions

· Provide information in connection with the external and internal audits and monitor cash management activities to ensure compliance

· Develop, monitor and analyze bank fees including credit card and cash management expenses

· Maintain positive banking relationships with depository banks

· Oversee incoming check deposits in office and maintaining complete check log for audit


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

 

· Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field required

· 2+ years’ experience with significant accounting responsibilities

 

Skills/Specialized Knowledge

· Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently

· Detail oriented and demonstrates a “can-do” positive attitude

· Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment

· Self-starter with solid organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities or reprioritization of projects

· Excellent communication skills – verbal and written

· Excellent skills in MS Excel and Word

· Advanced knowledge in Excel understanding concepts of databases, filtering data use of mathematical, logical statistical and financial functions a plus.

· Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis

 

Physical and Mental Demands

This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The position may also entail light lifting of supplies and materials occasionally, up to and including 20 pounds in addition to reaching, stooping, standing, and walking. This position requires the ability to talk, hear, compare, compute, compile, copy, analyze, coordinate, synthesize, negotiate and communicate.
