Overview

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a dynamic Surgical First Assist Director of Business Development to drive growth and establish valuable partnerships within healthcare facilities, surgical practices, and health systems.

The Director of Business Development is responsible for promoting and selling MPOWERHealth’s services to healthcare facilities, surgical practices, and healthcare systems. This includes identifying new business opportunities, conducting sales presentations, negotiating contracts, and providing essential clinical support. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of surgical assist services, experience in contracting, and a proven track record in business development. Frequent travel is required for this role.

Responsibilities

Sales Activities

  • Identify and qualify sales opportunities within designated territories.
  • Stay current on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to create new business opportunities.
  • Conduct engaging sales presentations and service demonstrations to potential customers.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with healthcare facilities, surgical centers, and health systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and manage the sales pipeline effectively.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to close sales and meet company objectives.
  • Proactively anticipate negotiation hurdles and provide creative solutions to close deals.

Clinical Support

  • Provide clinical expertise during sales meetings and service demonstrations to healthcare providers.
  • Help healthcare professionals understand the practical benefits and usage of MPOWERHealth services.
  • Work closely with clinical operations teams to support the implementation of services within client facilities.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in each territory.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Focus on retaining and expanding business with current clients while converting competitive accounts.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel frequently (up to 40%) for sales meetings, product demonstrations, and contract negotiations.
  • Be available for short-notice travel based on customer needs.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Active or prior surgical assist practice license (PA, NP, LSA, RNFA, etc.).
  • Proven success in sales, ideally in the healthcare industry is highly prerferred.
  • Ability to combine clinical expertise with sales strategies.
  • Strong project management and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of surgical assist reimbursement structures, including provider credentials, insurance billing, and facility rates.
  • Ability to travel frequently by car and air.
